Technological advancements over the past 70+ years have changed the nature of military reports on unidentified flying objects.

In the next video, Iain Boyd provides context to recent government reports, which ultimately conclude that in many cases there is insufficient information to explain what has been observed. This can largely be explained by the sensors being designed to detect certain types of objects and activities. A convincing report would involve multiple observations of the same event, using different sensors, and at different angles.
