Hirth Ph.D. is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan, and serves as the Research Director at the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design. He received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Carleton College, and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and has received multiple research awards.
