In this segment, Steve Broglio speaks with Matt Lorincz and JT Eckner about the science behind concussion. They discuss and define what a concussion is, what the signs and symptoms are, and what the recovery process consists of. This segment will also cover when sport-related concussion has occurred, when it is necessary to remove an individual from activity, and basic management principles. In addition Steve, Matt, and JT, describe the progressions of return to learn and athletic activity, as well as discuss the long-term effects of head impact exposure on brain health.
