John reflects on his time in both the Michigan State House and Senate and why concussion education and protocol is so important. He then walks us through the story of the concussion legislation that he sponsored in 2012.

John Proos is a former Republican Senator who represented the 21st district in the Michigan Senate. He sponsored Senate Bill 1122, signed by Governor Rick Snyder in 2012, which requires the Michigan Department of Community Health to develop educational materials and a concussion awareness program.
