UFOs: Scanning the Skies Teach-Out

UFO Sightings and Analyses / Lesson 1 of 5

Introduction to MUFON (Mutual UFO Network)

5 minutes

Dating back over 50 years and with over 4000 members worldwide, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is one of the oldest and largest organizations that evaluates UFO reports. MUFON investigators utilize both open-ended and closed-ended questions to gather information about sightings.

In the next three videos, Bill Konkolesky, State Director of Michigan MUFON, provides an overview of how the volunteer-led organization approaches reports of unidentified aerial phenomena and how some reports are more compelling than others. He also discusses the training process for becoming a volunteer field investigator and the varied skill sets that are particularly useful for investigation.
