MiSciWriters (MSW) is a student organization dedicated to improving the written communication abilities of scientists, improving the public understanding of science, and advocating for science communication as a field. We believe that effective and accurate science communication is crucial to make informed choices and enhances the role of science in both policy-making and our everyday lives. 

We use our blog (www.misciwriters.com) to connect scientists to the public for mutually beneficial communication. MSW provides structured training in writing and editing for diverse audiences to interested University of Michigan trainees through personalized feedback, writing events, and editing workshops.  

MSW also hosts scientific communication events, including career panels and talks by established science writers. These events promote the science communication field and educate UM trainees about science communication career opportunities.
