Sports betting presents unique challenges for colleges and universities, where young adults, student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and institutional responsibilities intersect. In this module, we will discuss:

• How sports betting affects campus environments, including health and safety risks for student-athletes;
• The growing influence of betting-related marketing and gamblification; and
• Emerging conflicts of interest for institutions.

We will also examine how higher education can respond by adapting existing prevention, public health, and harm-reduction approaches to the evolving and complex issue of online sports betting.
