Roe v. Wade Teach-Out

Our next expert contributor is Dr. Josh Pasek. Josh is an Assistant Professor of Communication and Media at the University of Michigan. He specializes in research on how politics impacts public opinion and the role that social media plays in that process. He is also interested in how survey design impacts research findings.

Josh provides an overview of the nature of the public opinion on abortion and the difficulties in surveying it, due to the many nuances involved in a complicated and highly personal issue. For example, opinion may range depending on the conditions under which the pregnancy occurred; the ongoing condition of the pregnancy; religious affiliations; and more.
