Melting Ice Rising Seas Teach-Out

Welcome to the Melting Ice Rising Seas Teach-Out. In June 2019, a team of students, faculty, and staff from the University of Michigan, along with students from the University at Albany and Virginia Tech University, embarked on an expedition to Greenland to witness climate change first hand, conduct field experiments and search for ways in which we, as individuals and connected global societies, can work to understand the complex science behind a changing climate.In this Teach-Out, you will join an extraordinary group of students and supporting faculty on their personal and professional journeys through Greenland, you will learn from leading climate scientists about how climate change is impacting the Arctic, and you will have opportunities to reflect and engage with learners from across the world. Through documentary storytelling and vivid imagery, you will experience some of our planet's remarkable natural beauty and examine how climate change impacts one of the most vulnerable places on earth, the isolated Arctic island, Greenland.We're excited you're here, and not only would we like to invite you to join our team on their journey, we'd also like to encourage you to share your stories about how you engage with climate change and what measures you're taking to lessen your impact on the natural world.
