Extreme Weather: Tornado Season Teach-Out

Dr. Chris Weiss is an Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Science Department of Geosciences. Dr. Weiss is a Michigan Native, where he received a B.S. in Atmospheric Oceanic and Space Sciences from the University of Michigan in 1997 and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Since starting his position with Texas Tech University in 2004, Dr. Weiss has been involved in many field campaigns focused on the improved understanding of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.

In this conversation with Perry, Dr. Weiss will talk about experiences from the field and ongoing research efforts associated with chasing tornadoes.
