Historical Figures & Speeches: Abraham Lincoln
3 minutes
The following videos are excerpts from speeches, given by various 19th-century U.S. figures, that address different aspects of "civil rights" in the country at that time. These speeches have been wonderfully re-enacted by student-actors from the University of Michigan. We are grateful to each of them as well as to Professor Priscilla Lindsay (Professor & Chair of the Department of Theatre & Drama) for arranging for these performances. Priscilla Lindsay is Professor and Chair of the Department of Theatre & Drama in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She is an actress, director, and voiceover actor.
