COP26: Where do we go from here?

Leaders from around the world recently assembled in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom to discuss a path forward to take global action on climate change. During the two-week United Nations’ 26th Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), more than 120 heads of state and government looked to take ambitious action to tackle climate change and seize opportunities in the next decade. Will it be enough?

Join us during this free, live panel discussion in reaction to this international summit featuring interdisciplinary perspectives from University of Michigan instructors and student delegates. From the lens of environmental psychology, energy development, affordable housing, and sustainable community building, panelists will consider how nations, communities, and individuals can best move forward to prevent global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5°C by 2100 and reduce the risk of devastating effects on many regions around the world.

Attendees are invited to ask their questions in reflection of COP26 and reflect on ways in which they can play a part to stop and reverse the effects of climate change.
