Computer Users & Mobile Phone Users: Use my VR headset or head-mounted device

You will need one additional device, such as your computer or mobile phone, to receive the code needed to launch the experience on your head-mounted device. The interface may be subject to change in visual appearance.

Step 1: In your head-mounted device, install the Uptale app from your device’s marketplace. 

Step 2: Once ready to launch the experience from Coursera, go to the XR experience step in the course on your computer or mobile phone. Check the box to agree to Coursera’s responsible tool use statement. Then click on the “Open Tool” button and the experience will open in a new browser window.

Step 3: Click on the “get a code” button to generate a unique code for the experience.

Step 4: In your head-mounted device, access the Uptale app and click on “enter a code.” Type in your unique code. Larger file sizes will take longer to load and require a steady WiFi connection. 

Step 5: Use the controllers or gaze tracking to interact with any items in the scene.
