Dr. Rajiv Ghimire is a Lecturer at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). As a human-environment geographer and sustainability scholar, his work focuses on climate change adaptation, resilience, and environmental justice.

Dr. Ghimire’s scholarship examines the social, institutional, and technological dimensions of environmental governance and sustainable development. His work spans projects in both South Asia and the United States, including evaluating climate-smart agriculture and local adaptation plans in Nepal.

Dr. Ghimire brings long-standing international research and teaching experience to his courses, exploring how innovative governance, technology, and social breakthroughs can drive equitable and transformative global climate action.
