This is a well-planned, comprehensive writing course. Very good recent examples from literature, speeches, and other notable sources. Make sure to participate in the forum discussions to get the most out of the course.

very interesting this course and qque helped me to classify and know more about different sources that can be used for various situations or things.

After five decades of writing one would have thought that there might have been a few things in this course that I had already learned, or didn't need to know. But, that wasn't true even an iota. I relished every moment of every lesson, from contemplating the provocative question, "What value am I bringing to the reader?" to exploring the value of the particular in great writing. One total surprise...I learned to love learning grammar. How did that happen?!?

The course is very helpful for both my professional and personal life. I get to improve my productivity, enjoy more readings and writings, and make a meaningful impact on my society just with the power of writing and editing. Big thanks to Professor Barry and Coursera!
