the content and exercise are very helpful

This is an excellent course for a complete newcomer to programming and the professor has taken great care to address the newcomers. However, I would advise anybody with any programming experience to not take the course. If you have a non python programming background and are learning python, then you can quickly learn some syntax, do all the assignments and clear the course.

This class should be promoted further!

Good for beginners

Excellent, Especially Charles teaching programming from the scratch!! Really helped a lot!!

It is initially difficult to follow any course regularly on any online teaching website. I have tried studying various courses on coursera before but I usually ended up in leaving the course. This is the first course I completed and I am really happy. Professor has really put lot of effort in teaching the course and also tried to make it fun. Thumbs up to Professor Charles Severance! However this course is really meant for someone who was never exposed to programming. As I have had some exposure, I increased the playback speed to 1.5x (So thumbs up to Coursera as well ! )

This course is a great start for learning programming in python. Its easy for everyone to learn as no prior knowledge is required.

Great introduction to python for those with no exposure to programming in the past.

the last exercise is bugged (5.2 is supposed to be 5.1)
