This course isn’t just about learning Python syntax — it’s about learning how to think. The way the lectures and exercises are structured forces you to apply logic and structure from a machine’s perspective, not just follow along with code. It builds a real foundation in problem solving, flow control, and understanding why things work, not just how. Perfect for anyone serious about mastering the basics in a way that sticks. Felt like steel sharpening steel the whole way through. Highly recommended.
I’ll admit I expected it to be harder, but I’ve realized this is just the introductory phase. I’m really happy to have completed it and managed to do the exercises and my first Python programs. The instructor is amazing! I’m so glad I had Chuck as my teacher—his teaching style is wonderful, and he explains things in a way that just clicks. To fully solidify what I’ve learned, I know I’ll need to review and practice a few more times. The foundational concepts were delivered with both professionalism and a sense of ease. And lightness—that’s something I truly value in learning, and this course nailed it.

Prof. Severance makes a complex topic as familiar as possible, using humor and a lighthearted spirit to carry you through the challenging jargon and concepts. Thank you!
This is great course, I really didn't know anything about programming and I really understood everything and feel very interested on going on learning more about Python. This course really is for EVERYBODY.
Great course. The explanation is simple, instructor has enthusiasm towards teaching. You would never be bored and learn a lot, saying being one of those who already knew what was taught, but the new angle made concepts more clearer, and I learned far more than what I had expect and gain new insights that helped me make the concepts more coherent.
