Nice way to start learning the basics of computing with Python. Enjoyed the peer reviews, Quiz and Assignment. Tutor contribution to this course is much appreciated.

A good introductory course I say. Go for it if you want to learn basics of Python from scratch with no prior exposure to any language mandate. However even if you know about Python or any other language, this course still has few new ways of looking at things. Overall an excellent course :-)

I give it a four for the reason that the instruction are good. Limited but good. There are a lot of videos that have nothing to do with learning python. They are.. interestingly informative, but more self promotion of Dr. Chuck. I would like to have seen many more exercises on each section. Working with variables of course is very simple but when you get to If-Else, Do-While, While, and For Loops it takes a lot of practice to really understand or "Get the basics down" as its put. Add nesting to a loop and it gets even more complicated. Practice exercises are very helpful. You could say to just make up our own but when you are learning you really do not know even how to make your own exercises yet. I also think that creating functions and passing information back and forth, should have had a much bigger part than what was discussed. Learning how to pass and return takes a lot of practice. I tried returning more than one argument but was not sure how to do it yet. These topics were not talked about really, more like a mention but not a discussion. Overall, I did enjoy the course and I did learn many things. Would recommend it to others as a nice starter with a warning that they should also look up the topics online for a complete understanding.

Great job at breaking things down into small pieces. This class helped fill in the gaps from what I have taught myself.
