very good material, and great job for the lecturer
It is a good platform for enhance your skills.
It was an excellent course, though some lectures was difficult for me, but I was able to learn. Thank you.
Best teacher ever. Period.
Muy buen curso
This course is great! However, if there were more exercises and more programs to code, I think I would understand a lot better because of the extra practice. Aside from this, the lectures were clear and very easy to understand, the exercises contained all the concepts.
I am a geoscientist with no background in computers or computer programming for that matter, except for the use of basic word processing, spreadsheet, slide presentations and gamming software.
Furthermore, being at an advanced age and recently retired, I decided to enroll in this course as a result of my personal need for knowledge in computer science or, at least, an understanding of the rudiments that lead to designing and writing of Apps for everyday practical utilization, and perhaps make some money along the way!!🤑😇
At least I was told that computer programming is what one needs to write an App. That's all I knew, and now Dr. Charles 'Chuck' Severance is giving me that opportunity to learn!
I know I might not be the one to end up writing the entire program for my proposed App, but at least, I would get to know what an engaged professional programmer is talking about or doing while putting my ideas into a programable format.
With a background such as mine, I would say I really had no preconceptions of what to expect, hence the manner and mode of delivery of the course by the instructor is quite agreeable to me.
However, since the course is pre-recorded, there is no real-time interactive communication either during or after a taught chapter, which would allow participants to ask the instructor questions and receive answers.
My suggestion is that, at least, there should be a section, after every Graded Assignment, dedicated to participant's QUESTIONS and instructor RESPONSES in place of the so called 'Office Hours'.
I guess I'm making steady progress from being a complete novice in computer programming as attested to, by my 'half-way'(i.e., according to Dr. Chuck himself, don't forget I have no pre-conceived ideas of what to expect) course completion certificate!!👨🎓😇👌
Though challenging and exhilarating at the same time, this course is highly recommended for beginners like me and I'm looking forward to subsequent parts of the course!!🤞🙏
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to spend this useful course.
good course
