<co-content><text>First of all, this course is not well integrated. This course is an awkward mix of an intro to public policy and an intro to R, going back and forth. Second of all, the instructions on R are very confusing and not at all clear. I had to go find other materials and educate myself to follow the instructions. (I am new to R but I used to be a statistician and used various statistical packages and still find the class hard to follow.) Do they expect people to have prior knowledge of R? I don't think so because the contents themselves are very fundamental. Third of all, there is no clear picture of the entire certificate course. Please show the full 4-course syllabus (all sections and weeks) up front. It’s hard to plan without seeing the entire sequence, and this would bring it closer to standard college/graduate-level syllabi.</text></co-content>

<co-content><text>The answers to the quizes are hard coded to very high precision, but fails to mention rounding requirements. For some quizes, the solution provided doesn't even match the answer needed.</text></co-content>

It will be a 4-star or 5-star course once they fix the quizzes so that correct answers are accepted rather than rejected and provide better documentation so that students can learn how to code in RStudio without having to rely wholly on the professor's notes (which are hidden in Week 1).

A good introduction! I found it useful to do a bit of extra work outside of the course learning R and practicing some of the data cleaning skills that were introduced. A well-taught and interesting introduction for people who want to understand how data can be used to make public policy more effective.
