Very interesting and engaging course to get an introduction to the Data Ethics dilemmas and possible ways of addressing them. Good selection of examples and case studies as much as the brilliant way in which every topic is addressed by Professor H.V Jagadish.

El curso es muy bueno y recomendable
Muy interesante, bien estructurado y muy bien explicado.
I recently completed the Data Science Ethics course offered by the University of Michigan through Coursera, and I must say it was an eye-opening experience. The course content was very informative and thought-provoking, and the Prof. H.V. Jagdish did an excellent job of presenting complex ethical issues in a clear and concise manner.
The course covered a range of topics related to data science ethics, including privacy, bias, transparency, and accountability. The instructors provided real-world examples and case studies to illustrate these concepts and help us understand their implications in practice.
One of the things I appreciated most about this course was the emphasis on actionable steps that data scientists can take to promote ethical practices in their work. The course provided practical tools and frameworks for identifying and mitigating ethical risks, which I found very useful.
Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone working in data science or related fields. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, this course will provide valuable insights and best practices for navigating the complex ethical considerations of the field.

This course asks true or false questions when the answer can be either yes or no, or true or false, depending upon circumstances, and where the circumstances aren't specified in the questions - which present only absolute/binary answer options with no opportunity to clarify or expound. It also uses words in quiz questions that have dinctincltly different meanings when used as nouns or verbs and where either could apply to the question, with only one answer considered correct. It also uses cases where there are laws in different states and then asks if something is eithical or legal to do to do (yes or no). Some of the questions aren't fact based at all and are matters of opinion when course materials left gray area. I stopped taking the class out of frustration with issues such as these after spending over 20 hours. This experience was very disappointing and my conclusoin became one that obtaining the certificate would be of no substance if I continued. Very disapointed.
Good Course
Great coursework!
