This course is really great for giving you a practical introduction to basic machine learning. You will be able to write code that builds your own machine learning models for regression and classification after you complete this course. Dr. Thompson is a great instructor and makes sure you know the fundamental mechanism of each model and how to apply it in practice. The one reason this course doesn't get 5 stars is that each assignment has a few glitches at the beginning that must be fixed to import the requisite data. It's not a huge issue, but can't be identified without reading the discussion posts, and is honestly something a course of this reputation should have fixed by now.
