Paths to U-M Credit

Start online, finish on campus

Some series of courses are a pathway for you to earn University of Michigan credit.

If you are admitted to and attend the corresponding masters program on campus at U-M, the online courses you’ve completed in the series will count as credit toward your masters degree. These series can prepare you for success on campus and reduce the time and cost of the program.

Potential University of Michigan credit-bearing series are available on our partner learning platforms. They are called MasterTrack Certificates on Coursera and MicroMasters programs on edX.

If you are interested in these courses but do not intend to pursue a masters degree on campus, you can still enroll in the series. You will not be eligible for University of Michigan credit if you are not admitted to and attend a U-M masters program. Even when opting to not pursue university credit, these series allow you to dive deeply into a topic and highlight your new skills.
